Thursday Performing and Etiquette Classes
 
BEGINNING THEATER
Grades 4 to 7
Semester Fee: $65
Class Size: Min. 6, Max. 15
By involving your child in theater, they will be developing their self esteem, enhancing their self expression, learning public speaking, expanding their vocabulary and memorization, learning to work in a group, and gaining confidence and learning to understand themself and others. Acting is never pretending. It is truthfully reacting to an imaginary circumstance. We will do at least one performance.
REQUIRED MATERIALS: A notebook, pencil and/or pen.
 
BEGINNING DANCE
Grades 1 to 7
Semester Fee: $45
Class Size: Min. 4; Max. 10
Students will learn the basics of ballet and jazz. Music used will be age appropriate but not always Christian. Students will be expected to learn and perform dance routines. There may be an extra cost for costumes for performances but this will be kept less than $20.
REQUIRED MATERIALS: A leotard, tights, ballet shoes, hair pulled back from face, and a water bottle.
 
INTERMEDIATE DANCE
Grades 1 to 7
Semester Fee: $45
Class Size: Min. 4; Max. 10
Students will learn ballet, jazz, and some lyrical. Music used will be age appropriate but not always Christian. Students will be expected to learn and perform dance routines. There may be an extra cost for costumes for performances but this will be kept less than $20.
PREREQUISITE: Have completed a year of dance.

MANNERS AND EVERYDAY COMMON COURTESIES
Grades 2 to 7
Semester Fee: $50
Class Size: Min. 8, Max. 20
Tired of elbows on the dinner table? or unsolicited bodily noises? In this class, your child will begin with the manners needed at home. Other topics include telephone etiquette, guest relations, table manners, thank you notes, and conversation starters, behaviors that will even reach beyond the home life. Activities include hands-on manipulatives, role playing, and some written work.
REQUIRED MATERIALS: Possible handbook (I’ll let you know at a later date.)
