Tuesday Scouting Classes
CUB SCOUTS
Grades 1 to 5
Cub Scouting is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8,
9, and 10 years of age.) Scouting offers numerous age-appropriate activities and events for members of the pack. Cub Scout
leaders provide a quality, fun-filled program for boys. When Cub Scouts have earned the Arrow of Light award, or become 11
years old, they are eligible to join the Boy Scout program. Total fees are a $10 per year membership fee and each scout is
expected to purchase a handbook and uniform shirt. The pack also collects $0.50 per week for dues to cover the expense of
awards and other administrative costs. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. Apart from the fun and excitement
of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, the Tiger Club motto, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake,
motto, and salute all teach good citizenship to a boy’s sense of belonging. For more information on the program go to

BOY SCOUTS
Grades 6 to 12
Boy scout troops work together to attain advancement through various achievements. The various levels include Tenderfoot,
Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and Eagle Scout. There is a heavy emphasis on outdoor activities such as camping, hiking,
campfire cooking, swimming, etc. Fees involved are $10 per year registration fee, $8.20 for the handbook (for the entire program),
and a uniform shirt is recommended. The program is designed to foster leadership qualities, patriotism, responsibility, and
preparedness. The Boy Scout motto is “Be prepared.”
VENTURING
Girls, Ages 14 to 21
This is a Boy Scout Program which typically includes boys and girls; ours is just for girls since we already have a program
for boys. We will meet two to four times a month and participate in a variety of outdoor activities. Participants have an
opportunity for advancement and awards or can choose to only participate in the activities. Activities are more adventurous
than other groups. You may join at any time.
